Pay per qualified lead, not per month
Mabuti charges a flat performance fee per qualified creator lead or per creator onboarded. No subscription. No monthly retainer. No platform access fee.
If the pipeline isn't real, we don't get paid.
Why we price this way
Most of this category prices on access or effort rather than outcomes. Both structures put the risk on you. Ours puts it on us.
Marketplace subscription
You pay monthly for search access to a roster, whether or not you find creators worth working with — and you still do the filtering, vetting, and outreach yourself.
Agency retainer
You pay the same amount whether the campaign produces 300 leads or 30, because you're buying a period of work rather than an outcome.
Mabuti's performance fee
You pay per qualified creator lead or onboarded creator, so a campaign that underperforms costs us, not you.
What you're not paying for
Outreach volume
Producing one onboarded creator partner takes roughly 500 personalized emails, and screening a far larger pool before that. Those profiles, that infrastructure, and those sends are our operational cost — never a line item on your invoice.
Leads that aren't leads
A reply that says “send me your rates” and then goes quiet is not billable. Neither is a profile link, an opened email, or a follower.
What stops us sending junk leads
It's the right question to ask any performance-priced vendor. The answer is that “qualified” is defined in advance, in writing, and agreed with you before a single email goes out.
A qualified creator lead meets all three conditions:
- ICP match. The creator fits the Ideal Creator Profile we agree with you before outreach begins.
- Contacted under your brand's identity. With a clear proposal to work together. No bait and switch.
- Positive, proactive response. The creator replied with genuine intent to pursue a partnership with your brand.
Because the profile is agreed up front, there's nothing to argue about afterward. And because we carry the cost of every email that doesn't convert, sending volume at a loosely-defined target would be an expensive way to lose money.
What determines your rate
Pricing is scoped on a discovery call, because five things move the economics materially.
Creator tier
Nano and mid-tier campaigns have meaningfully different economics. In our own data, a nano-tier campaign for a physical consumer product runs closer to 415 emails per onboarded creator, while a mid-tier campaign in a saturated category runs closer to 555.
Category saturation
Creators in supplements and beauty are pitched constantly, so they reply less and negotiate harder. Creators in narrower verticals are far more reachable.
Offer strength
A compelling commission structure with a physical product converts better than a commission-only software offer, and that difference shows up directly in the funnel.
Volume and duration
Ongoing programs price differently from one-off pushes, because sending infrastructure and list building amortize over time.
Billing unit
You choose where to draw the line. Pay per qualified lead handed to your team, or pay only per creator completely onboarded. The latter carries more risk for us and prices accordingly, but gives you absolute cost certainty.
Who this works for
A good fit
Brands with tracking in place, a decided commission structure, payment mechanics that execute on schedule, and onboarding that runs without hand-holding. If the program can absorb new creators, performance pricing works in your favor — you only pay when we deliver.
Not yet a fit
Brands still building the program itself. Without tracking and onboarding, leads convert poorly no matter how good the pipeline is — which is bad for you and bad for us. If you're not there yet, we'll say so on the call rather than after the contract.
Frequently asked questions
How much does creator recruitment cost?
Mabuti charges a flat fee per qualified creator lead or per creator onboarded. The rate is fixed for the duration of your campaign and agreed before outreach begins. There is no subscription, retainer, or platform access fee. What gets scoped on the discovery call is what that rate is, because creator tier, category saturation, offer strength, and volume all move the economics.
If you charge per lead, what stops you sending low-quality leads?
A lead only counts if it meets all three conditions: the creator matches your Ideal Creator Profile, they were contacted under your brand's identity, and they replied with genuine intent to work with you. We agree the profile with you before any outreach goes out, so the standard is set in advance rather than argued about after.
Are the creator leads exclusive to my brand?
Yes. Unlike creator marketplaces where hundreds of brands compete for the same roster, our outreach is entirely bespoke. The pipeline we build is yours alone. We do not recycle lists, resell leads, or pitch your competitors' offers to the creators we source for you.
Do I pay for the emails or profiles Mabuti sources?
No. Producing one onboarded creator partner takes roughly 500 personalized emails, and screening a far larger pool before that. Those profiles, that sending infrastructure, and those sends are our operational cost, not a line item on your invoice.
How quickly do the first leads arrive?
We spend the first week configuring your sending infrastructure, finalizing the Ideal Creator Profile, and building the initial list. You will typically see the first qualified leads enter your pipeline in week two, with volume stabilizing by week three to four.
Is there a minimum campaign size?
Yes, though the minimum depends on the campaign. Because we build bespoke, dedicated infrastructure for your brand, every engagement needs enough volume to optimize the funnel and establish baseline conversion metrics before scaling. We'll scope the right minimum for your program on the discovery call.
